Thursday

Well I had a great birthday yesterday. Guys I so dont want to get older. My mom is only in her late 60's but already has so many problems. Some of these problems I knew were gonna come since she had diabetes I just didnt realize we would have to deal with them so soon.

Anyways I pretty much know that I will get diabetes in my future cause its runs strong on my mothers side. So I really need to watch my sugar and my weight. I probably need to take a class on it now to help her and better understand everything for my moms sake and mine.

Ok Breakfast 8:30 1 Nature Valley granola bar 90 calories 2pts
24oz of water

Lunch 12:30 3/4 of a half of an Archer Farms turkey club with Avocado wrap. 190 calories 5pts (guesstimate)
24oz of water

Snack 2:30 100 Calorie Chips ahoy thin crisps
1 1/2 pieces of gum 8calories

Dinner 7:00 Chicken Salad 210 calories
10 Small crackers 50 calories
8oz of water


Total so far 648 calories.

Update Me and the kids walked a little more than a mile after dinner.

  1. OH MY GOSH! Happy belated birthday! I plum forgot!! I didn't even get online until late yesterday, its been so crazy over here.
    I'm glad you had a great birthday!
    Sorry about your mom and I totally understand how you feel. My mom's had a few medical issues and I am her mini-me, I know I too will have what she did.
    But its good that your taking action now, that is so important. Diabetes is such a serious matter, it runs in my family too along with heart disease on both of my parents sides...scary!

  2. I think you'll be okay as long as you take care of yourself now. Diabetes is very strong on my dad's side of the family too so I was afraid I was going to get it. I actually thought I had it recently...my doctor thought I had it (I was showing most of the symptoms) but it turned out it was something else(thyroid). Diabetets is super scary so it's very smart of you to start doing something about it now.
